Abstract Art Art Challenge

Second Week and the challenge continues

This week was not at all easy. I wanted to re-start, but if I did that I would not be able to make it. I got a feeling of what the master’s objective was, but it is so difficult without seeing what he was seeing.

The painting was The Reservoir, Horta de Ebro / Horta de San Joan, summer 1909.

The Reservoir – Picasso 1909
My attempt and the original beauty

Trying to copy Picasso’s view is difficult as hell. Specially when you have so little time to do it. Some evenings are extra difficult. Sometimes I am tired, lazy and this temperature of -6C makes me wanna just jump in bed.

One of these days I tried waking up at 6:00 am but it is hell! No it doesn’t work at all. Easier to paint before dinner, while my husband takes care of it. (Some days he is a saint!) :)

Now something cool happened!

I got a chance to be in PARIS soon! and I am trying to learn some French now, Je suis trè heureuse! I hope I get the chance to visit some places Picasso went to and see some of what he saw (more or less). I think the buildings and the parks may not have changed so much (hope not). It will be just 3 days, so I know I will not be able to see much anyways, but at least some special places.
